Answers to some of the most common questions about TAM®
How is TAM® different from other online exercise programs?
TAKE A MINUTE® is not a fitness program. The movements and habits that TAKE A MINUTE® teaches are based on deep understanding of the body and mind connection. TAM movements bring relief, rejuvenate the body and improve circulation to promote the best possible mental and physical state. The TAM objective is different than muscle strengthening or building aerobic capacity per se. Its goal is a sense of vitality during the workday. TAKE A MINUTE® video collections are a support system. These simple-to-do exercises can help any worker of any age or body type to feel restored, rejuvenated, more energetic and refreshed.
Does TAM® work for individuals with physical limitations?
If you can’t do the full movement, descriptive movement modifications are provided within the videos. Everyone’s body is different, and TAKE A MINUTE® is for every body. Our video sets are presented visually and with verbal guidance. They are designed to work whether in the office or working remotely, in back-to-back meetings or on video calls all day; whether in the midst of working with patients or otherwise standing on your feet all day or fully confined to work in a chair.
Is TAM® easy to set up and use?
TAM is very easy to use! After subscribing, your designated administrator downloads the video set selections included in the subscription level from a secure site with passwords for users. Individual users then access the video sets on their computers, phone or laptop and choose one or more exercises to follow.
As TAM users become familiar with the various TAM videos, they can choose from among them whenever they need a positive intervention to refresh energy. If desired, alerts can be set as reminders for a TAM break. Each user learns to recognize his or her personal signs that a TAM reset is needed – things like stiff neck and shoulders, itchy eyes, or difficulty concentrating. The number of resets needed to restore energy and productivity – in one minute or several minutes – is up to each person!
How long is a subscription?
Subscriptions are available on a month to month or year-long basis. They can be cancelled at any time, but we are counting on your high satisfaction with TAM, and would be sad to see you go!
Cancellation of a monthly subscription goes into effect at the end of the month in which the cancellation takes place. Access to the videos continues until the current period you have paid for expires. Annual subscriptions can also be cancelled, but are not refundable.
What support is available once I sign up?
When you subscribe to TAKE A MINUTE® you’ll get a tutorial on exactly how to use TAM with your team. Our TAM staff will be available by phone, email and video conference to assist administrators in getting started to download the videos and answer questions about launching TAM with employees.
On an on-going basis, all subscribers will be supported via email. Requests for assistance can be sent to info@take-a-minute.com, with SUPPORT in the subject line, along with information about the administrator name, the email used for the TAM account and a detailed description of the issues being experienced. Replies will take place as soon as possible during business hours.
Additional levels of support, including via phone and video conferencing, will depend on subscription choice and any custom options that may be chosen. Personal online discussions can be scheduled with your business/team and Zuleikha, creator of TAKE A MINUTE®.
How will I know that TAM® is working for my employees?
Our nationwide study of TAM users shows positive results and high satisfaction with the TAM program. TAM will support employers to track and report video use among employees in order to link use of TAM to overall employee satisfaction and productivity.
